How to podcast |
How to PodcastCreating a podcast is easy as it basically involve delivering audio content using RSS or Really Simple Syndication. Before creating a podcast the podcaster should already know what he is going to speak.
The computer is best device for creating a podcast because it has its own mic and sound card that allows the audio file to have better audio quality. To record the content for the podcast, podcasting software like MP3 encoder, media player (windows media player), file transfer (smartFTP) is needed. The podcaster may look for some software from the Internet which should offer complete solution to the podcast creator.
Next is to upload this audio file to the specified website. Uploading this file will depend on the internet connection. Storing a made podcast to an FTP access is a must, but make sure or check the quantity of bandwidth that is offered. When everything is set distributing or publishing of the file follows.
Publish the recorded podcast by making an RSS feed. Then, transfer the podcast RSS file to the web server, like it would to any other content. Certify it by means of an online RSS validator. If the podcast feed is legitimate, it is now set to be published to the web. This will now allow the clients or podcast players to search the newly created podcast and subscribe to updates later on. When a new podcast is produced, the RSS feed which is hosted on your website should be also updated so that various podcast players who subscribed for updates will be notified for the update and be able to download the newly updated podcast.
