The portable media players, such as iPod, Creative Zen and iRiver can be also connected in your car to be able to listen to endless music of your choice by using an FM transmitter. You need to plug the FM transmitter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter and attach your MP3 player to the FM transmitter.
Then select a lower FM channel between 88.1 and 88.9. The transmitter will decode the music files in you MP3 player and will transmit it to your car audio. Through this transmission, you can mow play, skip or select songs from your MP3 player. There is also some FM transmitter that is capable to transmit music from USB flash drive. This feature is great because it is more optimized and inexpensive compare to CD players and there is no need to use the bulky compact disk especially if you love listening in podcasts.
Another best solution to connect MP3 player with car audio is to install a Bluetooth car kit, which let you connect your iPod to your car stereo without attaching any wire. There is some installation that is necessary for this option but the sound quality is extraordinary.
And finally, if you really want the best and astonishing sound quality, you may want to buy new car stereo head units that can read burned CD. These units can also read MP3 and WMA files. Although you will need to burn songs into a CD, it can give you a pretty much higher quantity of music. There is also some car stereo head unit that have auxiliary jack that allows you to connect iPod and other MP3 players to your car stereo via a cable.
